A smaller, footed bowl inspired by traditional rice bowls from the Far East. Handturned from the finest Croatian black walnut, the bowl displays distinctive chatoyance, richness and depth of this sought-after material.
Since black walnut is far more abundant than it’s European counterpart and the wood’s appearance from tree to tree varies only slightly, it is possible to produce bowls in quantities without major changes in the product’s image.

After use, hand wash with lukewarm water and soap and dry immediately with a cloth. Allow to air-dry on a drying rack before placing on a countertop or other surfaces. If the wood begins to look dull or feel rough to the touch, recondition it with oil. Hard Oil, a completely natural, solvent-free linseed oil made by the German producer Kreidezeit is recommended and available. Keep away from direct sunlight. Do not put in the dishwasher, microwave, or oven. Never leave in water or filled with water.
If using at the table, some foods like strawberries and beetroot can ocasionally stain light-colored wood. These stains usually fade over time, but to prevent such events from happening, avoid putting strong colored foods in your bowl. If you prefer a shiny appearance that is as close as possible to its original condition, oil regularly and avoid scratching by using wooden cutlery. If a richly patinated surface that reflects history is desired, oil once in a while and use your bowl with normal, common-sense care.
